My major research areas are in the field of dialysis, vascular access, cost effectiveness, and diabetic nephropathy.

 

Current Research Activities

 

I am currently involved in the following research projects:

 

  • Evaluation of sodium : creatinine ratio to assess salt intake.
  • Evaluation of clinical results from our Diabetic Nephropathy Database.
  • Cost effectiveness of Diabetic Nephropathy Clinic.
  • Population-based Prospective Studies on Chronic Kidney Disease in Alberta.
  • Electronic decision support for improving the care of hemodialysis patients in Alberta (PI: Dr. Marcello Tonelli).
